Lakeshore Anesthesia (LSA) provides anesthesia services at multiple locations including plastic surgery centers, GI centers and dental/periodontal offices. Billing for anesthesia services is usually done through these individual offices; in short, the billing is set through the surgeons office (at an agreed upon rate) and there will be no additional bill for anesthesia services.
At some centers (e.g., GI centers), private and government insurances are accepted. There are an enormous number of health insurance plans and the cost to the patient depends on the specifics of the policy.
LSA typically bills by both the type of procedure and the time in the direct care of the patient. How much any specific procedure will cost a patient is difficult to determine without knowing the specific of a health insurance policy.
Because of the complexity of billing numerous health insurance companies, Lakeshore Anesthesia has subcontracted out the billing services, and we are in regular contact with the billing office. LSA is currently utilizing Excel Billing based out of St Petersburg. We are including their contact information, as LSA is currently a 'one-man show', and can not dedicate extensive time and resources to "in-house" billing and collections. However, my experience with Excel Billing has been outstanding, and I find them to be more than fair.
Contact information for Excel Billing is:
EXCEL BILLING AND CONSULTING SERVICES
6393 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N
St. Petersburg, FL. 33411
If you are having trouble making payments for anesthesia services, please contact Excel Billing first. LSA is generally willing to accept a reasonable and fair payment plan.
